Inverness Flights Take To The Sky

There was a beach party departure for the first batch of JetsGo Holidays passengers flying from Inverness Airport to Majorca this weekend, passengers enjoyed a welcome cava drink as well as a holiday themed photo booth in the departure lounge to start holidays off with some fun.

The new chartered services coincides with the school holidays and were sold out, over the two week period a total of 378 people will be making their way to the Balearic Island direct from the Highland capital.

The partnership between JetsGo Holidays and the airport will continue next year with more departures in September and October 2020

Inverness Airport general manager Graeme Bell said: “There has been considerable demand from Highland holidaymakers for the Majorca service in 2019 and we are delighted that JetsGo have already committed to an extended service for 2020. For many people, October is the ideal time to visit Majorca. The weather is usually warm and sunny and the island is a little less busy than it can be during the height of summer.”

JetsGo Holidays director Daniel Reilly said: “We have been very pleased with how popular our holidays have proven to be from Inverness Airport. While there’s many people out there who prefer to build their own holidays these days, it’s clear that package holidays still have their place in the holiday market, especially given the protection they offer and convenience. As well as our expanded programme to Majorca for 2020, we are also looking at other opportunities from Inverness and look forward to offering a wider choice of destinations in the near future.”

Flights and holidays for 2020 are already on sale and can be booked online or over the phone.
